Why do people give flowers during special occasions?

Personally, I feel that there is no better way to express human emotions in a more effective manner than gifting flowers or bouquets. It symbolizes how the growth of a relationship is grown just like a flower, blossoming over time with love and care.

If giving flowers help to communicate your deepest feelings, why not add more meaning to it by wrapping your own bouquet made from love and giving it to the one special person?

With A Better Florist, you can now make your own bouquet! If you are tired of bland and boring floral arrangements, you can learn floristry hacks and professional, modern flower arrangement to personalize bouquets for your loved ones!

With it's weekly Flower Jam Session happening every Sunday, it's perfect if you're looking for fun date activities, quality time with the family or even searching for a new hobby.

To ensure that each lesson is unique, the theme of the flower jamming session, as well as the flowers used, changes every week. This week we did bridal bouquets, which are trending right in this season!

We used roses, baby breath and pointed leaves. As you all might have already known, each flower carries a special meaning to it and here are the meanings of the flowers I used!

According to Reader's Digest: "Pink  carries with it the connotation of grace and elegance, as well as sweetness and poetic romance. Light pink roses are associated with gentleness and admiration, and can also be used as an expression of sympathy."

According to FlowerMeaning.com: "Most people know the baby's breath flower as the iconic symbol of long lasting love because it's commonly used to round out wedding bouquets and centerpieces. The tiny white flowers represent the purity of emotion that two people should have for each other during a wedding ceremony."

Letee, the instructor was great and she handled the workshop really well, checking at all times to ensure that she's there if anyone needs help. I learned how to remove the thorns off my first roses & was pretty cool!

It took me around an hour to get my bouquet done, and I felt that this experience really opened my eyes. Before attending this workshop, I had the misconception that bouquets are quite expensive & it wasn't worth the money to get one. But I realized that from creating a bouquet and ensuring that it's arranged nicely, to delivering it to the customer, it could take around 2 hours for someone inexperienced like me.

In fact, I think that the prices for A Better Florist bouquets now are actually worth every dollar, as there are so much things to account for - flowers that are unused and thrown away, petrol charges to deliver the flowers, hiring an experienced florist etc. I think that everyone should try their hands at floristry at least once in their lives!

By participating in A Better Florist flower jam sessions, even cheap flowers can be transformed into classy décor and luxurious bouquets. You can learn from one of their talented team of florists on how to bring more beauty and more joy into this world.

Enjoy a special rate of only $40 per person (for the first 3 sign-ups).

If you would like to join the workshop, you can sign up via here. They only offer the workshop to only maximum 8 participants at one time, so do sign up early to avoid disappointment!
