Niu Dian - Michelin Bib Gourmand Taiwanese Beef Noodles Opens New Outlet at Holland Village

Sunday, August 06, 2023

Ever since landing into Singapore with a bang in February this year with its ambassador, Show Lo 羅志祥’s endorsement, the 3 consecutive years Michelin Bib Gourmand awardee - Niu Dian Beef Noodles has been captivating Singaporean palates with its mouth-watering authentic Taiwanese Beef Noodles.

In their second outlet at Holland Village, Niu Dian is committed to maintaining its theme of an authentic Taiwanese dining experience by allowing diners to soak in the modern luxe atmosphere indoors. Table QR code stickers linked to Niu Dian’s menu are attached to each table to smoothen customers’ ordering process.

Committed to indulging customers with its specialties, Niu Dian has officially opened its second outlet at Holland Village this month! As part of the new outlet, it will also be introducing a brand new beef rice bowl series that is sure to provide a delightful alternative to its scrumptious selection of beef noodles.

After Niu Dian’s Founder, Mr Lin Chun Ying, achieved ground-breaking success in 5-star Western cuisine as Head Chef of the local hotel industry, he felt inspired to capture the nostalgia of his childhood in a bowl of beef noodles, inspiring him to establish Niu Dian in 2005. Mr Lin cultivated his unique Beef Noodles recipe by enhancing Chinese cuisine with tinges of Western cooking methods, which lead him to clinch 3 consecutive years of Michelin Bib Gourmand awards, highlights from popular Taiwan entertainment shows such as “Kangsi Coming”《康熙来了》and positive recognition from local media outlets.

Niu Dian prides itself on using premium beef parts specially flown-in from Australia. All proprietary sauces and marinades are imported from Taiwan to ensure consistency in flavour across Niu Dian’s outlets.

Part of the new beef rice bowl series, the Combination Specialty Beef Pearl Rice contains the same quality boneless rib cut, tripe, tendon, and golden coin, accompanied by the soft, chewy premium pearl rice grains, and eventually topped with a smooth, silky omelette. This dish adds to Niu Dian’s rich selection of delicacies and would introduce some novelty to customers who would like to preserve the taste of its premium beef cuts but explore an alternative staple from noodles.

This signature bowl of Combination Specialty Beef Noodles includes boneless beef rib fingers, golden coin, tripe, and tendon and has been a crowd-favourite since the beginning. Diners can choose between original or braised broth, and other options such as the Trio Specialty Beef Noodles that include boneless beef rib fingers, golden coin and tendon, or Beef Noodles where diners can choose their favourite beef part among various options.

Served in three separate components with three-steps instructions, along with exclusively selected premium beef cuts braised to perfection, eating this Premium Braised Beef Noodles is an experience in itself. Have a sip of the original broth first, then add the braised sauce into the soup according to preference. Place a portion of noodles in a small bowl, and stir in a small amount of braised sauce. Finally, add preserved vegetables to the noodles, mix well and enjoy!

Niu Dian also caters to those seeking reduced carb options by providing beef soup without noodles and portions of beef parts for add-ons. Cold sides such as cold cucumber and cold king oyster mushroom are available for customers to start their meals with as a refreshing contrast to the hearty mains.

Enjoying the Taiwanese beef noodles together with bubble tea has been a favourite hit among customers at its first branch, and Niu Dian will continue to provide this well-loved combination by also featuring local brand, Palace Tea, in its new Holland Village outlet. Expect familiar favourites such as the Milk Tea and Original Tea selections, as well as in-house creations such as Lime & Sour Plum Green Tea with Aiyu Jelly and Lychee Mint Red Tea.

These beverages will be available to order alongside diners’ mains through the table QR code stickers, or as standalone takeaways over the counter. Diners will be able to customise their drinks according to their desired toppings, sugar, and ice level.
