Introduction to Dawn Chan

Thursday, April 06, 2017

Hello, I'm Dawn Chan, the author of this blog. Welcome to my humble abode.

I have traveled over 8 countries at the age of 24. I also participated in competitions to challenge myself (Miss DreamGirlSG's 3rd runner up) and (Karmart's #BeautyDashAsia2019 Singapore Champion).

My drive and curiosity is what led me to perform well in life, to think out of the box and know that anything is possible as long as I try it. I created my blog own since I was 17, and taught myself basic HTML. I had my canon camera when I was 18 and is developing works at (www.dawnchansg.com) since then.

Currently, I am a Marketing Manager in charge of managing the company's website, design artworks, social media channels and corporate events. My duties include hosting media tastings, crafting captivating captions with my copywriting skills and creation of online and offline marketing collateral, such as the restaurant's menu, posters and flyers. My specialties include digital media, consumer behavior and brand awareness.

This little space was created by me way back in 2012, when all I wanted to do was: SHARE. I wanted to share about Singapore's best hidden gems, that new cafe that opened, or special deals that could not be found elsewhere.

Just a brief background, I studied Mass Communication in RMIT and Republic Polytechnic, and interned at 2 digital marketing agencies: BluGrapes (now QED Consulting Pte Ltd) as well as The Influencer Network (now known as FluxTV). Yes, I have the marketing blood in me :D

A simple LIKE or SHARE to show appreciation of my work keeps me going during the toughest days. I will continue to try my best to write about things close to my heart, with my readers on my mind. If you would like to collaborate, please email me at dawnchansg@gmail.com. Thank you for reading & I hope you enjoy my articles!

“The one thing that you have that nobody else has is you. Your voice, your mind, your story, your vision. So write and draw and build and play and dance and live as only you can.” —Neil Gaiman
